POSITIVE BEHAVIOR interventions & SUPPORT (PBIS)
OUR SCHOOL COMMUNITY HAS A SET OF SAFE, RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR EXPECTATIONS FOR IN AND OUT OF THE CLASSROOM.
WE CELEBRATE OUR POSITIVE BEHAVIOR IN MANY WAYS
1.
FRIDAY ASSEMBLY:
Every other FRIDAY MORNING WE MEET IN THE CAFETERIA AT 8:30AM TO CELEBRATE OUR RODGERS COMMUNITY.
2.
Weekly REWARDS:
STUDENTS CAN EARN Tickets throughout the week for SAFE, RESPONSIBLE AND RESPECTFUL BEHAVIOR. 2 Tickets are pulled from each class every week. These students can come down to the office to pick a prize from our prize cart.
3.
Student
OF THE MONTH:
EACH MONTH OUR STAFF CHOOSES STUDENTS WHO SHOW SIGNIFICANT IMPROVEMENT ACADEMICALLY OR BEHAVIORALLY, WHO MODEL POSITIVE BEHAVIOR ON A REGULAR BASIS AND/OR WHO GO ABOVE AND BEYOND IN SOME WAY. THEY GET TO HAVE A PIZZA LUNCH WITH THE PRINCIPAL, WEAR A SPECIAL BADGE FOR THE MONTH AND HAVE THEIR PICTURE TAKEN FOR OUR SHOWCASE.
